چکیده
In this study, walnut shell, which is abundant in Turkey and low-cost biomass waste, has been used for activated carbon production phosphate removal from aqueous solutions with the produced was investigated. ZnCl2 to prepare adsorbent by chemical activation method. Produced carbons were characterized moisture content, ash iodine number, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyses. The specific surface area calculated as 415.433 m2/g isotherms using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. effects of pH, amount, agitation speed temperature Different adsorption isotherm models applied. It found that Langmuir provided best fit experimental data. pseudo- second order kinetic model, values theoretically (qe,cal) very similar those determined experiments (qe,exp). results showed on WSAC fits model. According thermodynamics analysis, endothermic under studied conditions.

متن کاملThe Perlite-calcium Alginate-activated Carbon Composite as an Efficient Adsorbent for the Removal of Dyes from Aqueous Solutions
To remove dyes from wastewater, the perlite-calcium alginate–activated carbon (PCA) composite was prepared by a simple method. This composite was characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM, and BET techniques. A high capacity of PCA was observed for the adsorption of some dyes such as methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) from aqueous solutions (1111 and 909 mg g-1). The best results were achieved at...
